Hi,

i do not want bridesmaids (don’t want the extra bill) have any of you had no bridesmaids? What are the rules with the hen do in terms of payments? Everyone goes Dutch?

I'm not having any bridesmaids either, although I hope to have a friend help me get ready on the day.

I've always split costs equally on hen dos I've been to - the exception is where the other hens agree to split the bride's cost between them so that she doesn't pay anything.

It's a good idea to be clear up front about costs - also about any dress code etc. I went on one hen do where I budgeted and could afford it, and then 24 hours before they changed the dress code and I didn't have anything suitable to wear and couldn't afford to buy anything new!
