Hen etiquette for wedding abroad

SicilyBride2018, 25 November, 2017 at 22:48 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 1

Hi All,

We're planning our wedding in Sicily next year for just really close family and friends (15-20 people max) with a party back in the U.K. when we get back. I wanted to ask what people's opinions are on inviting friends to the hen do who wouldn't be invited to Sicily, but who would be invited to the after wedding party in the U.K. Is it rude to invite them if we're not inviting them to the actual wedding?

Any opinion is appreciated!

Thanks!

Rebecca

    Hi

I think this is perfectly acceptable.

However, that may be because I'm doing it ?

    Hi Rebecca,

It is perfectly alright to invite for hen do even if you don't invite for your wedding abroad.

They can understand that it may not feasible for you to invite for your wedding abroad. Moreover, it is a god idea to invite for the hen do which might make them feel like you have considered them.

I am a wedding planner in Chennai and I have come across this kind of situation many time. I always advice my clients to invite people for hen party eve if they are not invited for the wedding abroad.

    Best wishes for your wedding
