Hen Night - Male life drawing

JaneMcP, 14 February, 2014 at 13:50 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi there

Has anyone had any experience of male life drawing for a hen party?

I've heard good and bad reviews - some people saying it was just a bit of naughty fun and very tame, other people saying it was actually quite risque with the hens posing with the model for some sketches and getting quite close to the meat and 2 veg and even one person saying the model was a bit - erm - swollen.....

Any real experiences good or bad would be much appreciated.

thanks

J

Yep I've been on one of these hen parties before and it was really good fun! Slightly older audience with the MOB, my Mum, Aunties etc. Everyone started out a bit giggly but by the end we were all concentrating more on the drawing! If you get a reputable model he should discuss it all with you first and find out what you are comfortable with. The B2B had to pose (fully clothed) kneeling next to him but it was all in good taste.

Can't say it appeals to me although haven't done it. It's not pretty and I don't like to draw.

This. I quit art aged 14 for a reason and I have no desire to stare at a strange man's bits for several hours.

I went to a hen do recently where we did this, it was great fun. The B2B went out to the toilet and while she was gone the lady leading it asked if we thought she would pose with the model, we negotiated a pose that we knew she would feel comfortable with, there was no pressure for her to do anything risque.

    ...

oh thats different. I wouldn't flitch at this. i did this for, erm, 6 years! first lesson is a bit WTF but it becomes second nature very quickly. not sure about it as a group activity, i tend to find life drawing very solitary even if your in a group, but I'm probably seeing it with my arty glasses on.
