Hen party abroad - Help!

Rachel-W2B, 3 of August of 2015 at 10:28 Posted on Planning 0 3

Hi, Im considering having my hen do abroad, possibly Benidorm for a weekend. The idea of going overseas isn't to have a mad one but to enjoy a little sun with the girls and I would love to add in a private boat cruse.

There are so many companies whom specialise in weekends away but after looking into them closer (on FB for example) some have awful reviews. I understand you can't please everyone all the time but I don't want to get ripped off or let the girls down...

I wonder if anyone had any recommendations?

Has anyone used hen companies before? Am I best organising myself?

Thanks in advance ?

Hen party discussions come up a lot. You haven't said whether you have firm numbers or not? I think the first step is to take £100 deposit from each hen to see who will actually commit to the trip.

If you want to check out the hen party companies try Wedding scammers don't let them win, which is a Facebook group. I know one of the hen companies is dodgy but I can't remember which one.

Hi Paula, I would have thought prices and dates first but I guess this would be a great way too. I am assuming of the 20 invited girls I would be looking at 12-15 guarantees.

I will take a look on this page - thank you!❤️

Bit of advise having read many similar posts don't assume anything from anybody with hens until money is in your hands so often it seems to be the ones you thought you could guarantee are the let downs

What Lala said! The best thing to do will be to research where you're going how much it costs and let them have that info and say you'll book a space for them subject to £100 deposit (or if you can get it payment up front).

Be prepared to accept that you might get less people turning up than you hope for. Hen dos abroad are fun but they are also expensive and use up holiday allowances. I'm not saying don't do it, just be aware that some people will not be able to come. Don't take it personally if that's the case! They still love you and care for you, but might not be able to make it.
