Hen Party Group Chat

Daisy, 13 July, 2024 at 19:19 Posted on Planning 0 10
I'm getting married next May and have been asked by my MoH to create a WhatsApp group chat of all the people I'd like to invite to my hen party, then leave the group chat so that she and the bridesmaids can organise it. This makes sense to me as the approach but I'm just wondering should I say anything in the chat first and then leave it? Would be great to hear what others have done xx

Hi! I did this! I just said hello, my bridesmaids asked me to make a chat if everyone I would love to be part of my hen. I did also say but I will not be offended if any reason you can’t come or it is not your scene!

I am the MOH and we did this exact thing for my best friend, she didn’t message the group and just made me admin and left as soon as she added everyone. No one was fussed Smiley smile

    Hiya!

Congratulations! I'm getting married next May as well 😊.

I did the exact same, I created the WhatsApp group, added all the people I wanted to come, said my hellos/introduced my bridesmaids and explained I wouldn't be offended if people couldn't make it but that my Hen was being planned by my bridesmaids & then I left the chat so I couldn't see what was happening!

Hope it all goes well & have fun! 🎉

Hey! That approach makes total sense 😊 I’d probably just say something like, “Hi everyone! I’m creating this group so [MoH’s name] and the bridesmaids can organise the hen party. I’ll leave the chat now so they can take over. Thanks!” – keeps it short and friendly.

Also, if you’re looking for a few extra tips on organising events and keeping it all stress-free, I found some really helpful ideas on apnizameenapnaghar.com – might be worth a look! Good luck with your hen do xx

Hey Daisy, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! 💍
Your MoH’s approach sounds perfect — create the WhatsApp group, introduce everyone with a short welcome message (like “Hi ladies, so excited you’re all part of my hen! I’ll leave the planning in the safe hands of my MoH + bridesmaids 💕”), and then step back. That way, everyone knows why the group exists and feels included from the start.

By the way, if you’re looking for budget-friendly ideas to cut costs on energy bills before the big day (since weddings can get pricey 😅), I found this helpful resource: Jinko Solar Panel Price in Pakistan. Totally unrelated to hens but could be useful long term. 🌞

Creating a group chat like this is a thoughtful approach, and Wikipedia notes that group messaging platforms help coordinate events efficiently by keeping everyone informed in one place. A short, warm message explaining the plan before you leave the chat sets expectations and avoids confusion, while letting your MoH take over smoothly. For users who explore extra customization or features in messaging apps, discussions around descargar whatsapp plus última versión often come up, though sticking to familiar tools keeps things simple for everyone.
