Hen Party ideas - Chester / Manchester please?

Hi,

Think we will be going towards Manchester for my hen do also,

I want to do a dance class in the day (think Dirty Dancing/Grease/Michael Jackson/80's etc), you can get a 2 hr dance class, then onwards for some food, back to hotel and out partying for the night....this is my idea so far anyway!

I'm from chester I have to say it probably isnt the best place to have a hen night.

We do have a few good eating places. There are a couple of clubs but nowhere amazing.

You could probably do a spa day somewhere here if thats what you wanted.

I went to Chester on a hen night and we had a fab time! We went to the races during the day, then went for a salsa dancing lesson, then for a meal and then to a club at night (Rosie's - cheesey!) Chester is lovely.

Manchester is obviously bigger and there will be bigger clubs and more choice food wise. Not been there on a night out though.

I went to uni in Manchester.....great for shopping and eating out/drinking.

Re night life depends what sort of music you're in to etc.

Deansgate Locks - RnB bars/Revolution etc. Not great for nice restaurants....IMHO can be a little "rough"

Deansgate - posh bars and restaurants

Northern Quarter - Cool, trendy, cocktail bars, live music etc

Printworks - lots of bars, large nightclubs (eg TigerTiger), nearby some nice restaurants, smack bang in the middle of town. Also next to a club called Birdcage which would be a laugh for hen do. Drag artists etc :-)

Oxford Road area - more student-ey....where my heart lies ;-) great Indie club called 5th Ave.
