Hey, kids of the 1980s ... any of you watch/watching CITV this weekend?

I am TOTALLY missing the UK at the moment for this one reason! I loved Raggy Dolls and Knightmare. What did you love when you were a kid? Let's get on a good old nostalgia trip!

I just YouTubed a full episode of Knightmare and it turns out that I still get angry with the thick kids disguised in smug.

I don't actually remember Tomorrow People! I must have switched over to the Broom Cupboard when it was on or something.

Ive just educated my stepdaughter in the ways of the late 80's. She was most concerned that in 'Press Gang' they wrote on typewriters. "what if they made a mistake, where was the delete?" She also coultn work out why 'Knightmare' was scary, 'you can see its not real!'

I also committed a faux pas by seeing a 'Raggy Dolls' episode from 1994. 'oh, thats not that long ago' I said.

'Thats a very long time ago Mini, nearly 20 years'

nothing like kids to make you feel ancient is there?!

We've been watching all day. H was so pleased to see Super Gran this morning. He sat singing along to the theme tune, bless him. Fun House was ace but why did they show a mullet-less episode?! OOH, and my kids thought Finders Keepers was amazing!

I cannot wait for Rainbow tomorrow morning, and How 2 in the afternoon.

    Now I get it!!

I was wondering why so many people on my facebook were going on about CITV (and mostly funhouse).

I wonder if OH will mind if I delete all his sport off sky+ to make room for every single programme listed?!

BigBird- my 7 year old stepson asked if the reason my family didn't have a car growing up was because they hadn't been invented then....im 29.

What were the prizes? I'm guessing something like a Walkman that 1) wasn't Sony and 2) didn't have a rewind function?

Its a fact that the glove puppet regularly wore out and was often replaced by someone dashing down to Woolworths to buy a replacement....honest fact.....

Oh, I didn't get round to watching any of these at the weekend. I was never a fan of Knightmare or fun house though, I thought they were boring. I used to like Mike and Angelo, and my parents are aliens. The girl who played Lucy in My parents are aliens is now a receptionist at one of the local vet practices here and she's lovely.
