High street makeup counter trials

My sister is fantastic at makeup and will be doing mine on the day. I just need to buy the products in advance - I'm looking for medium coverage as light coverage doesn't really tend to work on me.

I can't go to all the makeup counters as you have to buy some products to make up the cost of the trial I believe.

Can you recommend any in particular? I love the benefit makeup I have so thinking of heading there, but my friends swear by MAC so do I go there?!

So confusing!

    Not all charge for a trial, MAC deffo do, but you get it back if you buy something, I believe Bobbie Brown are the same, I didn't pay anything at Clinique or Estee Lauder or ELisabeth Arden. Must admit I love the MAC make up I bought including their SPF foundation for everyday use.

    Try try smashbox- they have done mini trials free on me several times now when debating what to try. They didn't do my eyes or lips but only because I wasn't bothered about that.

    we have a smashbox in boots but they also used to be in my local Debenhams so should be plenty around. I swear by their primers and foundations.

    I was a bridesmaid for my friend not long back and we were all doing our own make up! I was really worried coz I have quite bad skin. I went to Bobby Brown, not expecting a make over or anything! I just told them what I was looking for, they were really good, did my full face of makeup for me, I didn't feel pressurised into buying anything! The foundation I had was medium coverage and looked great on the day!

    I also love Benefit! Have loads from them!?
