Hi
We’re getting married in Portugal next month and will have a week there after as a mini honeymoon. In Feb next year we plan a long haul trip. My partner favours Costa Rica but I don’t feel like that’s special enough for this event. I think I would prefer the Maldives or Seychelles. What are your thoughts? Have you been to Costa Rica? ( I’ve looked at some places they seem pretty rustic). Thanks

It depends what you want to do. We considered Maldives / Seychelles / Mauritius, but ultimately decided that 2 weeks of just snorkelling / beach wasn’t right for us. Costa Rica is on our travel list (post honeymoon) because it’s the type of holiday we like - plenty of nature! So decide what you want to do and then find a good place for that.

Here in lies our issue. I’m a sunbathe, read, maybe a bit of sightseeing, cocktails and dinner sort and my OH, whilst liking these things needs to be active! Hiking, sailing, anything really. So we need something and somewhere that meets both our needs & I’m not sure Costa Rica or the Maldives/Seychelles will!
Maybe Cuba?! Where are you off to?
