Honeymoon Destination Ideas

Hello all,
I am looking for some honeymoon destination ideas. We are UK Based but looking to really go somewhere that is idyllic but also has nightlife, bars, restaurants and is safe to leave the hotel. We had looked over towards the Carribean, mexico or South America. We were in Thailand a few years ago so want to go somewhere different. The issue I'm finding is as soon as you type honeymoon it's all these beautiful places that come up but it's hard to know if they have anything other than gorgeous beaches. We get bored easy and like some time on the beach but like to explore too. We also love to go out at night and sample local food drink and entertainment. We dont want all adventure but a nice balance. We can go anytime of year. Anyone been anywhere like this?

I went on holiday to Vietnam a couple of years ago which has a lot of what you are looking for! Somewhere like Hanoi (North Vietnam) has loads to see, amazing food (oh my god the food!!) and some good nightlife. Maybe not the most idillic but the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Hoi An is a bit more idillic and very beautiful. Once there everything is mega cheap and really easy to get around so you could hop to other places in the country. Lots to explore and is a very friendly place to visit. Might be worth checking out? Good luck x
