Horsley towers

Brack Nat, 18 May, 2009 at 10:21 Posted on Planning 0 4

We are looking into Horsley towers for our venue, we've had a look around without the wedding co ordinator and really liked it but I am quite concerned about disabled access, two members of my family are in wheelchairs and so want them to be able to get into the venue without too much hassle.

Has anyone had their wedding at Horsley Towers or can provide any info on the disabled access?

Thanks

I am getting married there!!! wooooooo - get married there and then we can be venue twins!!!!

I am not sure about disabled access though - i am sure i have seen ramps when i have been there before - why dont you email Erica the wedding coordinator - she is brilliant and will get back to you pretty quickly!! I harrass her with questions weekly and she is always happy to help!

let me know if you book it!!

Do you live local to horsley?

Erica wasn't in today, so thought I would go on here and see what people had to say, I'm going to give her a call tomorrow and arrange for her to show us round, so we can ask all our questions.

I live in Bracknell, my fiance's family live in Mitcham, so we were looking for a venue inbetween and fell in love with this one from the website, think as long as all our questions can be answered we will be going there.

Oh you wont care about disabled access - you will just buy a ramp?

no seriously it is a stunning venue and i am sure they must have suitable disabled access as they are a hotel/conference venue and would therefore NEED disabled access

Hey - this caught my eye - I know it sounds daft, but we played this venue last year and I swear I remember they brought out ramps that they billed as the disabled ramps for us to wheel our kit in. Either way the staff were brilliantly helpful even to us, so I'm sure you'll be fine. Its VERY uncommon for a wedding and corporate meeting venue such as Horsley to not cater for disabilities.

    Hope this helps

We deliver to Horsley quite regularly.

I'm sure they have ramps that can be placed over the steps at the entrance, but even if not, they have numerous entrances on each side of the building, I dare say that at least one is level.

The one I dont recall ever seeing is a lift indoors. The big flight of stairs might be a problem...
