How can I find out how much a house was bought for and when?

Doughnut, 1 of March of 2009 at 12:53 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

I have tried Zoopla and houseprices, and Google. Any ideas?

Oh sorry Doughnut,I've just realised you've tried that one. Has it only been sold in the past year or two?

I don't know, that's what I'm trying to find out. Judging by the pine-tastic interior and grey plastic built in wardrobes, I'm guessing it was last sold around 1987 ?

Rightmove.co.uk has a sold prices section but it only covers the pas 8 years I think.

If you go on the Land Registry website you can buy a copy of the Title Information Document for about £3.00 which will give you the information.

If it hasn't been sold/bought recently then it may well be unregistered in which case the info will be harder to come buy
