How did you play your music at your registry office wedding?

Lauren, 15 February, 2024 at 14:04 Posted on Planning 0 3
Hi,

We have got our songs planned for our ceremony but was wondering what people found the best way to play them? I feel burning a CD is quite old fashioned now but is the Bluetooth option reliable?
Please help!

It depends on the reg office but most will have Bluetooth, but best to ask them. Usually they will ask the guests who has the music and will talk to them about connecting so give the job to the tek savvy guest.

If you are having a registrar led ceremony, make sure you have submitted your songs in advance and they have approved them, as you cant just play anything as they will need to approve they are not religious or contain expletives. You will normally be asked to do this as part of your ceremony pack.

We created playlists on Spotify, one for Walking down the Aisle, one for the Signing music (had 5-6 songs for that bit) then one for Exit Music, so it was easy to not play the wrong song at a pivitol moment! We then shared it with one of our close friends on their Spotify, they then played it via Bluetooth on a speaker that we took to the venue, we had linked their phone up to the speaker beforehand to test it and then on the day it auto connected.

As long as the devices are Bluetooth enabled and that is switched on you are ok, Bluetooth works regardless of the venue set up, ours was in the depths of a castle in the middle of nowhere and had no problem. the only thing is to be mindful of network signal and if is weak may be worth asking to hook the phone on to venue WiFi
