How do I check my credit - Orange

I have an Orange mobile but I have no idea how I check my credit. Any ideas?

    Dial 453 from your orange mobile (call is FOC).

    I always dial 150 and check that way.

    I've just tried with 453 and it has said that its permanently barred. Not sure what that means.

    Perhaps its different numbers with payg and contract. ?

    Contract. have you tried 453, does it work from a payg phone?
