I'm having a total brain storm over this. How do I make a 'tick' symbol in Excel? ?

    You have to change the font to Windings 2 and it's a P (capital p).

    Select your cell. Click Insert-Symbol. Choose Wingdings 2 and go to the top. 1st left, 4 rows down. HTH.
