How do open wine with no corkscrew?

Please help, my friend broke thescrew today. Its a crappy rose JP Chenet. Why does it have a bent neck? ??

    Not sure if it will work too well with those bottles due their wonky neck but I remember my friend used a screwdriver once and pushed it so far in and then twisted the cork round and it eventually came out. To be honest it would have been quicker to go and buy a new corkscrew after all the fiddling around but it might work ok for you.

    As a student, I remember using the handle of a wooden spoon to open a wine bottle once. And it worked.

    I think your proberly right Ms T, Ive only just tried this bottle the first one we smashed the neck off with the hammer idea?

    Im not a wino just upset that OH has gone away until July (thats my excuse anyway!?)

    At boarding school we used to push the cork in with a toothbrush handle. easy once you get hang of it.

    Mr G puts a large screw in, grabs the top with pilers, holds the bottle between his feet and pulls! Usually works ?

    Ive tried everything else, Im going to give up now maybe its a good thing my diets not happy with the wine & fab food ive had this weekend!!?
