How do you get rid of the gunge when you've had a cold?

Ashke, 7 December, 2008 at 09:20 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

Hello,

OH has had a cold all week and is over the worst of it but he just can't seem to shift all the crap from his throat and so is snoring for Scotland at night. He is also continually coughing but not getting rid of much.

What's worse is that before we went away to Vancouver and Seattle he was snuffly but was fine after a few days and then it all started up again when he came down with the cold during the week.

So, any hints or tips? As we'd both like to get a decent nights sleep (I can usually sleep through his normal snoring) and the last few nights one of us has come and slept on the sofa.

J

I put a few drops of Olbas Oil on a flannel and sleep with it on my pillow which seems to clear my congestion. HTH.

An expectorant from the chemist should shift it from his chest.
