How early should i start looking for a dress?

There is no harm looking now but from experience I would say wait before you go ahead, as right now you are caught up in the excitement and I found when it got to a year before I had changed my mind in so many things and I hankfully I had not got my dress as I changed my mind on what i thought I wanted

I'm getting married April 2024 and have my first dress shop tomorrow. I'm not sure if i'll fine the one but I just want to have a look, I have an idea of what I want and I'm willing to take the risk of changing my mind but i've heard it can take up to 12 months to make the dress so I'd rather get in early!

I believe it’s never too early to look for a dress! I got mine a year before!

I’m May 2024 and have pencilled in May 2023 for dress shopping - gives me time incase I can’t find anything I like and have to go back! I’ve found having the date pencilled in has calmed my excitement a little as I at least have a date to count down to!

I got engaged on Saturday and we are wanting a June 2024 wedding. I have been in contact with the local church and will be confirming a date with them tomorrow. Will then be looking for a marquee company and catering company for that date. I have started looking at dresses to see what I like but will be seriously dress shopping next year as want to have a dress by June next year (a year before the wedding). I think getting a dress a year / 9 months before the wedding is a good idea as it gives you plenty of time and you won’t feel rushed to find one and it will be one less thing to worry about as the wedding nears.

Its Never too early!! Do you have a pin board for it at all, or do you know how to use pintrest? Its a brilliant way to gather and keep your ideas for each section of your wedding day!

We're June 2024 and I've already said yes to the dress 🥰

My wedding is Jan '24 and I bought my dress in June. Tbh, I did move to NZ this summer so wanted to get it with my mum before the move BUT you will most certainly know when you find it. I had two fittings and on the second fitting, the first dress I tried on was the one. I just cried when I put it on! Bought the veil and headpieces there too

It's never too bad to get looking now but I would advise that when you do get the dress, don't look at pinterest or anything for others as you may get second thoughts! I worry about that but I know my dress is very me!
