Hey gals! I've been hearing different things from different caterers about what's a typical number for courses at the reception....I've heard things between 3-6. How are you guys planning your dinners/how many courses are you offerening the guests? We're having about 200 guests, if that changes...

I reckon 3 courses is perfecto with a little selection of cheeses for afters. As they say eating is cheating Smiley winking

We'll be having 3 courses, the wedding coordinator at the venue told us "we serve proper man sized portions" and that I wouldn't be able to breathe in my dress if we ordered any more. She also told me not to bother with canapés as our mid afternoon ceremony will lead us nicely up to dinner time. We'll have a buffet in the evening but I'm sure that after 3 courses and cake most people will be too stuffed for us to need to put on a big second spread only a few hours later. I'm a grazer myself so as long as there's something to nibble on I'll be happy.
