How Many Inflatable Instruments?

Rizzo, 13 April, 2011 at 11:52 Posted on Planning 0 11

There will be between 120-130 guests in the evening and I want to buy some inflatable guitars, microphones and saxaphones for people to mess about with. Once the alcohol has worked it's magic people will love them and the glow sticks I have bought.

How many of each shall I buy? I'm thinking five of each, plus a guitar for each of the actual boys that are coming and a microphone for my daughter.

I think 5 of each would be fine - as you want them to be a novelty item rather than everyone thats on the dancefloor having one iykwim. People will pass them around too to have pictures with them so they will circulate.

I carry inflatables. I usually put 5 of each out. The guitars are an absolute hit and I've got some fantastic photos of brides with their guests rocking with the guitars. I used to put saxophones out but they would spend the night on the floor disguarded. The mics work though.

I carry some, but never automatically put them out. Its a bit of a marmite thing, but good fun if requested.

As always, ebay is a great source of this stuff. There are often job lots, or simply contact a seller and see if they will haggle.

If you're looking for numbers, go by the size of the dancefloor and halve it - that would be about right.

Also.. keep a few back - so don't let them all go out at once!
