How many sausages do men eat for dinner?

Kebab thief, 30 January, 2009 at 13:58 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

This is a really stupid question but we hardly ever have sausages so please help me out.

I was going to buy 6 with the idea of me having 2 and H having 4, is that enough for a man?

Would be served with mashed swede and potato, carrots and broccoli.

In a packet of 8 sausages i get 2 and the men both get 3, but if they are posh fat sausages that only come in 6 then it's 2 each and extra mash!

I think that is plenty! I think H would have 2-3 at the most.

Mr Caterpillar normally has 3 (veggie ones) so I would think 4 would be plenty!

I always buy a packet of 12 chipolatas and then share them among the four of us equally. My OH seems to do just fine on 3. If we have 'normal' sized ones then he gets just two.

I d say it depends on what he s been doing. if he a manual worker, then more than if a white collar unless he goes to the gym/runs a lot etc. 'pends on the sausages too of course. standard ones, i d normally have two, depending on whats being had with them.

WSS my H would too. I think if it a pack of 8 I usually have 2 (or 3..) and he'll have 5 and then eat the last one as a snack later on.

He's a manual worker and probably hasn't stopped for lunch. The sausages are rather lovely ones from our local sausage shop, much fatter than chipolatas.

4 sounds like it might be too many judging by the majority, think I'll buy 6 anyway and then they're there if he wants them and if not he can have them cold tomorrow [shudder]

If they're like the Black Farmer ones and similar sized ones from the supermarket then we have 3 each and half of one of mine would get offered to the toddler. If big butcher's ones, 2 each. I like cold, leftover sausages though, so I'd cook them all.

We mostly have these gorgeous skinny chipolatas from the farm shop , he has 4 I have 3.

Normal sausages I would have 2 and him 3.

I did my H a sausage casserole the other week which had 6 asda's extra special smoked bacon and black pudding ones and he ate the lot! He is a farmer though so tends to be able to trough quite a bit - plus sausages are his number one food. I reckon he could eat 20 of the things in one go!
