How much do bridemaid dress alterations roughly cost ?

Bride to be Becky from Derbyshire, 12 March, 2013 at 20:55 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hello , I've ordered my three bridemaid dresses from dessy and they are due to arrive end of April. Although I cannot tell the tailor what alterations which we think need to be done until the dresses actually arrive from what we have measured I think the length will just need to be altered on all three. One wants straps adding on from the off cuts and one will need takinging in at the Waist .

just wondering how much alterations usually cosT? as a have a seamstress phoning tomorrow to hopefully provisionally book bridemaids in once dresses arrive so she's not fully booked up as wedding July this year

I've spoken to a lady who has a shop locally and has done alterations previously and she has advised that she specialises in bridesmaid dresses which I didn't realise she charges £10 to alter length at £15 to take in at waist so am going with her. Pretty reasonable I think :-)
