How much Pimms to buy?

scubaemma, 4 April, 2008 at 14:29 Posted on Planning 2 4

We're providing our own drinks for stright after the ceremony (before we head over to the hotel), for when people are milling around enjoying the view, having photos done etc.

Just wondered how much we should buy? We're doing Pimms and lemonade, and will have about 90 people. Any ideas how much Pimms and how much lemmonade we'll need? We'll buy a load of fruit and mint too obviously, just suddenly occured to me that I haven't really got any idea how much to buy and what the ratio of Pimms to lemmonade should be?!

I think a bottle of lemonade per 10 guests - so 10 bottles would allow a bit extra

As for pimms, we tend to use a quarter of a bottle for each 10 glasses, so I'd say 4 bottles to be on the safe side?

We often make jugs in the summer, those big jugs that make about 10 glasses. Make sure you have loads of ice too.

Add the lemonade first, then the ice, then the pimms and finally the fruit.

Get a decent brand of lemonade and make sure its not diet as sometimes the ice can make diet lemonade go flat almost immediately ?
