How much should i spend on wedding rings?

Allen, 5 March, 2022 at 04:25 Posted on Planning 0 16

My friend plans to give his love a romantic wedding but he hovers on a budget, I'm helping him understand the current market price of wedding rings.

You can get them for as little as a couple of hundred if they are dead plain and simple. Obviously costs more the more embellishment you want or if you want diamonds or for them to be stylised (to fit around an engagement ring for example) or depending on the metal etc.

My wedding is a simple yellow gold band with a curved edge. It’s around 8/9mm wide and it cost £100. My husbands ring is titanium and like mine is just a simple band. Husband works as a building inspector and building surveyor and so spends a lot of time crawling in lofts. As a result he picked a ring that cost £20 so it matters less if he loses it.

Wedding rings can vary wildly in price depending on what metal you want and if you want detail on it or stones in it. It also depends if you want to get it to fit your engagement ring or not. I chose not to get it to fit my engagement ring but as I had chosen a simple design for my wedding ring it meant that come our first anniversary when my husband surprised me with an eternity ring it fit my wedding ring perfectly.

It really varies depending on metal and if you want stones/diamonds on the band. You’ve got to consider that the metal of the wedding band needs to match the engagement ring to make sure that they don’t damage each other!

As others have said, it varies dramatically. I'd add, there is no amount you should spend - spend what you can afford and decide on your budget based on how important a specific type of ring is to you or your fiance.

The weddings rings are the one item you will keep for ever. I would recommend to choose a design you absolutely love. Then, the width, metal etc are a matter of preference and budget.

The higher the gold karat, usually the higher the price . Platinum is also very resilient.

A thicker ring is sturdier and will last longer.

    Hope this helps .

This really depends on where you live. What you quoted isn't unreasonable for a large urban area. My daughter was wedding in Chicago almost 5 years ago and we were quoted a bit more than that for full service. I don't remember what just day of was at the time. I would suggest interviewing in person at least three people before you make a decision. The only reason we chose to go with a full service person was because the wedding was out of town for us (parents) and our daughter hadn't lived in the area and quite frankly didn't have the time to plan a bridal collection . They had a short engagement. If they had had a longer engagement and had gotten married in our home town we would have opted for a day of coordinator.

It depends on your budget, but rather than expensive parameters, I prefer to see the symbolism of the ring and its sense of design, we bought a custom ring at a brand's online store, it took about 30 days. But my husband and I were both happily amazed when we saw the real thing.

What's your budget? The price of wedding rings is around $300-$800, $**** for wedding bands. If you are looking for unique wedding rings, you can check Darry Ring. My friend bought her wedding bands on it, only costs $1000. They said you can only customize only one ring on their website, for true love.

If you want a wedding ring with diamonds mounted, the price would go higher, $2000-$6000. But if you just want platinum wedding bands, you can find a customized ring at $600-800.

I chose a rose gold ring at DR rings. Simple style wedding rings. Around $500. If you want custom rings or unique wedding rings, you can go check DR's rings. They only allow you to buy one ring on their website.

Normally, $300-$1000. If you want a customized ring from a designer, it would cost more. And if you choose a white gold ring, it won't cost much.

You mean how that brand know if she/he is your true love? i don't know. but my friend said people can only customize an engagement ring once at their site, and have to tell them who's your partner, then what you buy from them can only be sent to your partner.

I wanted a very sparkly wedding ring so mine was much more than I budgeted for at £650 but my partner wanted a black plain band and got it for £30 so we balanced eachother out haha!
