How shall I attach sash to flower girl dress?

Lizzywills, 18 July, 2014 at 11:04 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi ladies

please excuse terrible photo taken from iPad of phone!

im not at all crafty or dress makey so am hoping someone can help. My older flower girl is on the bigger side compared to her sister. She fits in her dress fine but the sash that goes with only just does up with the Velcro and rides up when she moves about.

i want to use Velcro or press studs or something to make it stay put but am not sure what would be the best and easiest thing to do.

any ideas?

thank you

I bet Velcro would work and not be noticeable or maybe you could just put a little tack on either side in black thread to stop it moving around x

I would put a couple of tacks in at the side seams just to hold it in place, velcro could be a total pita and keep popping undone, sticking where it shouldn't. Other option would be to use something like wonderweb, but i wouldn't want to guarantee that it would work, you would need to test it first on a scrap piece.
