How to marry?

This is going to seem embarrassing.. but me and my partner want to get married. (We are young). As we dont have money for big lovely wedding yet we want to get married and had been in our heads for years.
But we dont know first step of getting married part from being engaged. I know little bits. Do we go to register office? And get something down? Is it like a shotgun wedding? When planning my dream wedding i feel like i know everything. But thinking past few days just to get married to be married to each other i have no idea. Sorry for embarrassment of a post. But any help will be great 🥰

    If you want to be married then you need to decide when and where and what type of wedding you want.
    If you want a small, cheaper wedding then a registry office would be ideal.
    You would need to go on your local registry office website and find their details. Then you would find out if the date you want is free and reserve that. Then 6 weeks or so before the wedding you need to give notice to them of marriage. The minimum time is 28 days I believe. Each registry office offers different types of weddings in regards to sizes etc.
    If you don’t want a registry office then you need to find a venue and see what dates they have available.
