Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice on how to clean and revive a vintage umbrella. I'm hoping to use one of my Grandmother's old umbrellas as a parasol on W-day, but it has been stuck in the loft for decades and has dark marks on the fabric where it has been folded for a long time, and some rust staining on the inside.
Can anyone offer any tips on how I can clean and revive this at home? I'm working to an extremely tight budget, so can't really afford to take it to a vintage specialist, and being an umbrella I don't know that a dry cleaners would be able to help. I'm stumped as I really want to use this, but don't know how to remove years of grime. I've tried cream cleaner and it did nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
