I hate my hair....

Ms T, 27 May, 2008 at 12:02 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

or more to the point I hate how quickly it grows. Had it coloured 9 weeks ago and went for block colour over the top and red underneath and it looked fab - now have over an inch of regrowth which seems much more than usual. I hadn't noticed it much as my hair style had a bit of life in it but now my hair has reached the limp unmanageable "I need a haircut" stage I can see the lovely strip of badgerness. Why did my hair have to go grey so early?

I can really sympathise, my hair grows like a weed. I had my coloured and cut 4 weeks ago and already I can see roots. I am hoping my monthly hair cut on Friday will make it look passable again!

Lots of people would love fast growing hair...my mum's hair hardly grows.

Is it really grey or just the odd one here and there? If it's just the odd one through dark hair, like mine then why don't you go back to your natural colour? Makes life much easier.

I'm at the 'I need a haircut' stage at the moment. Actually, 9 weeks isn't bad for a colour really.

I wish i could last 9 weeks between colour. My hair could do with colouring every 2-3 weeks it grows that fast, I get it done every month. doesn't help that I'm naturally quite dark and it's currently white blonde ?

It's nearly white with dark brown lowlights now ? I used to have really dark brown hair but I started going grey when I was 18. I could get a way with it until about 6 years ago (when I got married actually!) but now it is pretty much at a point where my colourist has said we should keep the colour until my late 30s and then we can start discussing a schedule of lightening it up and weaning my hair off the dye so that I go grey gracefully?.

I probably wouldn't have bothered for another few weeks and just tied it back but we have a party to go to on Saturday (yay we have a social life for a night) and it looks so bad now that I have to sort it before then.

I'm almost 100% grey now (i'm 32) and have my hair dyed every 4 weeks to its original colour dark brown.

My hair grows so quickly that after about 2 1/2 weeks I can see the re-growth. I use a shop bought root touch up on my parting to keep me going to the 4 week mark.

Grey and quick growing, fab combination (hmmph)
