I have adult nappy rash and it hurts

Maxi, 6 of November of 2008 at 14:35 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

Just thought i'd share as feeling miserable at home alone.

I have a substantial sized skin tag (?) on my bikini line.

A couple of weeks back the nurse blasted it for 30seconds with that frozen stuff thingy. All that happened was that the tag swelled up, blistered and the surrounding skin peeled off, tag still there.

Went back to nurse yesterday and she blasted me again. OUCH....

I am wearing a three inch thick muslin padding, slapping on the sudocrem but it is so sore.

I had to take today off work as cannot even wear knickers ?

OMG, you poor poor thing, that sounds awful!

Although I have to take issue with the implication that you can't go to work sans knickers. ?

I did think about going knickerless but it felt all wrong to me. Plus the thought of my trousers chaffing made me wince.

Not looking forward to explaining this to my boss tomorrow.

Imagine the Sudocrem butterfly on your chair ?

That sounds awfully uncomfortable. I hope it's fixed soon!

    Sudocrem butterfly ?

The wadding is taking care of that, thankfully.

    Thanks Beth,

I've had it for years with no ill effects, but it started to grow and catch on my clothes so the nurse decided it would be best to remove it. Not to mention how unsightly it was ?

When i'm all healed up i'm going to get a brazillian wax to celebrate!

I've heard that you can treat tags yourself this way if they're small. Mine wasn't. And given the sensitive location I thought it best to leave to the professionals.

Things going great for me thanks. Nothing exciting but happy enough, work also ok. OH is going away to Siberia in a few weeks which will take him away over Christmas. Not looking forward to that, but have plenty of girlie night outs organised to keep me occupied.

Have you got a date for your wedding yet?

I have had a skin tag on my bikini line for years. Your post has convinced me I can live with it for a few more ?

I had a skin tag on my neck for years, but it grew a bit when I was pregnant. I was desperate to be rid of it before our holiday earlier this year, so I went to the practice nurse, who froze it twice. All it did was puff right up, fill with fluid and then shrivel back down again ?. In complete desperation, I tied a thread to it, the week before we went away. It fell off in bed the night before we went - my toddler found it and gave it to my H ? before I realised it had gone.

    Good luck!

? @ Kat T. Glad it came off eventually though!

Taffie - Although it's awful just now I know it will be fine in a few days. The nurse is really hopeful that it'll drop off this time. Can't wait to have a lovely bikini line again, if there's such a thing ?
