I have bleach leaking from my fanny - tmi

sonotgoingtosay, 16 July, 2008 at 19:02 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 15

Well not really, but I have noticed sometimes when I wear coloured underwear they look like they've been bleached. How is this? I have had no unusual discharge or smell.

Should I go to the doctors?

Are you on the Pill or some other kind of hormonal contraception?

No, nothing. I really can't understand it. I haven't taken the pill for 4 years.

I'm not sure LP. Is it normal then? It's happened for a while and I've been meaning to post about it.

I'm sure we had this topic ages ago. Sometimes over time, the gussets (I HATE THAT WORD!) of my black underwear lighten to a dark red, not through periods or anything. I wouldn't sweat it, unless you have smelly discharge (another word I hate)

well you are anonymous but i'm not, I have found this happening too over the last few years.

I noticed it and went to the dr to get checked out as there was never anything noticable wrong down below.

I had all the swabs, urine tests and blood tests possible and everything came back clear.

It was actually the most embarrasing dr visit ever because how do you explain that you need tests as your knicker gussets appear to have a bleached area on them?

The practice nurse said that vaginal fluids can sometimes be acidic and this can actually bleach pants over a period of time. she asked me how long i left my pants after wearing them before washing and i said that they are flung in the wash basket and are probably washed within 2 days of being put there. She even asked if I change my pants regularly?

I said that I was fastidiously clean and put them on after a morning shower, take them off before going to bed and thats that. she said that the only advice she could give was to wear a pant liner to stop it happening. I didnt feel that i wanted to do that as its not every pair of pants it happens to. its only the ones from marks and spencer for some reason! (sounds like i have done a survey on it!)

I imagined coming home and oh saying that he had been doing it for a laugh or something. I was speaking to my friend and happened to mention to her my embarrasing dr visit. She said that it happens to her all the time.

I think that some of us just have a more acidic vagina than others and this is reacting with certain dyes in knickers.

thats my only explanation for it

That's interesting, I once noticed that in my black underwear and wondered what it was.

Is anyone else thinking of NickJ when reading about bleach and fannies?

PMSL at you going anon while expecting everyone else to open up about their toxic fannies ??

I've had the same thing. Sometimes the gussets of my black pants fade to a kind of brown which is well embarrassing cos it looks like skid marks ? I don't think it's anything to worry about, I think I just have an acidic minge ?

Incidentally it doesn't seem to happen on M&S pants only my cheapo Asda ones ?

Another mystery solved thanks to Hitched ?

I put it down to being a tightwad and keeping my pants far too long, the elastic has started to go in some of mine and I still wear em ?

Now I know it's just toxic fanny batter, not sure if that makes me feel better or worse though ?
