I keep changing my mind, I'm getting on my own nerves!!

Nah.....I've just told my lot they can pick colours they like. Takes the pressure off me to get everything matchy-matchy, and means that they feel comfortable in what they are wearing because they chose it themselves.

Mind you, I have one BM and my MOH, so its not like trying to get 6 girls sorted, or whatever.

The men are also wearing what they like - they will all look super duper smart, but without matching ties and unlikely to be in the same colour suit etc

I have confidence that it will all look lovely when it comes together on the day. Still formal, but not stiffly so, and that is how we want it to be!

I have to say, I do love the navy dresses though.

I steered away from the red dresses in the first place is because H2B's niece got married last year and her bridesmaids were in red, not a yucky red but a beautiful red and I didn't want to appear to be copying, I know that sounds stupid.

I still like the idea of navy but it dawned on me last night it might be too dark for a late June wedding? My H2B likes the idea of light grey suits (he's doing that one on his own and I'm not involved with suit choosing!)

I've only got 2 BM's and a MOH so it's not too bad to sort although 1 will be 8, 1 will be 14 and my MOH is well, I'm not giving her age away lol, somewhere in her 40's will do

My daughter was BM at a summer wedding and wore navy (she was 18). They carried lilac hydrangeas and it looked lovely.

The reason she didn't choose navy for my wedding is that the girl she was BM for is my MOH so she didn't want to be copying, although it was my daughter's close second. If she HAD gone for the navy, though, we would have lightened it up with pink and cream peonies in the bouquets. I think Navy can look especially summery, because it shows off tanned skin etc!

I think that Red can look more wintry.....that is what my H2B would have opted for (for the BMs not for him!) if we were having a winter wedding.

Yeah I guess red could be classed as a 'christmas' colour. My MOH has already told me what flowers to have before I've even chosen a dress colour for her lol.

Delphiniums, cornflowers, iris, freesias and cream roses so I think they would go better with the navy.

Hurrah, navy it is then lol. I know the colour will suit all of the girls so just need to find knee length navy dresses from somewhere now

If it helps, we got married on a lovely sunny day on 1st July and my bridesmaids wore navy. The groom and ushers etc all wore grey suits too!

Just remembered - have you heard from your vicar yet.......? He should be back from his hols by now!

Just to echo everyone else - I'm a July bride and think we're going with navy bridesmaids. Hadn't even thought about it being the wrong season!
