Hi All,
The HTB and I have, until now, always thought that we'd make a donation to charity instead of buying favours. And that donation would then become the table name.
So, for example, rather than spending 30 quid a table on little favours/gifts, we'd go to oxfam unwrapped online gift thing, and buy - say - a goat, or school books, or a well etc etc...
So, that table would be called "goat" (or school books, or well etc)
Do you get the idea?
The HTB thinks this is really pretentious and like we're making out we're just so generous and telling everyone about how kind and charitable we are.. if you know what i mean.
Do you think that is how it would come accross?
We'd put a card on each place explaining - "instead of wedding favours, we've made a donation to oxfam on behalf of you and your table companions"
I thought it was quite a good idea, but the HTB thinks its really like we're up ourselves.
I would really really really appreciate your opinions!
thanks ;-)
