Ideas for inbetween bits during the day?

So myself and my partner are getting married in December 2023. We get married at 12pm in a registery office which is about 5mins walk from the reception venue. With being married mid day I'm wondering if we need to put some kind of entertainment in between the meal and the evening guests arriving. Can anyone help?

Take account of times for ceremony and photos you will likely be at venue for reception drings about 1.45, so then I would say your meal found be at 3 to 3.15. 2 to 2.5 hours for meal and speeches so you will be done by 5.30-6ish. then you have an hour gap before evening so I think your guests can use that for a freshen up and stretch of the legs.

I don't think you need entertainment but if you feel like you want to do something you could do it in your drinks reception time. As it is December outdoor games are out so what about a magician who can mingle with your guests doing tricks? Maybe ask your venue if they have any ideas or suppliers they could recommend as they will have done it before
