Ideas for pork chops?

Bridget F, 29 March, 2009 at 17:24 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

Hi

I've just bought some pork chops for tea - no idea why - I haven't eaten pork in years and am now stuck for ideas as to how to make them interesting rather than just grilling. Needs to be low fat, slimming world stylee. I have a decent cupboard full of ingredients, tinned toms etc, have lots of fresh veg and was going to do a small baked potato with them...

Any tasty ideas from foodies?

Many thanks

Bridget

I use a weight watchers recipe that we make regulary.

    1 tablespoon runny honey

    1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard

    pork chops

Preheat the grill, heat the honey & mustard together in a small saucepan and then brush the glaze over the pork chops and cook as required.

We have this with mushroom ragu and green vegetables

I almost always casserole my pork chops in apple juice and crumbled chicken stock cubes, then thicken up the cooking juices to make gravy. It's not 'foody' by any means, but I really like it.

Any apples are ok, although I prefer to use Granny Smith or something like that.
