Saturday was Vodafone Derby at Epsom, casual raceday for a group of about 30 of us. The dress etc is for Ascot in July and a wedding in August. I bought a clutch from New Look of all places, in their 'Bridal' section. I still have to buy shoes though AND stuff for the kids to wear.

Did you back any winners (can you remember)?

Nothing big. I fell in the trap and bet on Casual Conquest to win and Curtain Call for each way. Got a few quid on Curtain Call and won a little bit on my place pot. I'm learning more each time I go so am looking forward to Ascot now.

I'm still feeling quite rough, and the fear has set in, despite the girls telling me otherwise.

    Drinking is bad mmm'kay ?

I'm feeling ok but then I got home at 1.30am, got up at 10.30am and went for breakfast and a bloody mary... swiftly followed by a glass of wine..... then two more cocktails..... then a glass of wine..... then lots more wine at the pub in the evening, so I don't think I was ever properly sober yesterday.

So I don't have Saturday fear, but I do have Sunday fear ?

    Was it red wine HH?

Red wine is very evil. I had the worst hangover in recent memory the other week when we went out for an Indian meal and I had lots of red wine. Then we went home and played on Singstar till 4am (my brother & SIL and parents were visiting) and I was drinking Pimms and JD - evidently not a good combination. I was actually sick the next morning (that NEVER happens to me!) and couldn't face food till 6pm. I kept trying to get up but then having to go back to bed again!

This weekend I stuck to cava and pimms only and was fine ( a teensy bit dehydrated yesterday but nothing too bad!)
