We're getting married in a few weeks. Everything's been booked for months, but this last stretch has been the hardest part. Booked isn't the same as sorted.
A few things that have caught us out:
• Our venue only provides a very basic sound system. We've had to source our own for the DJ.
• We booked our photographer's package a year ago. Now that we've mapped out the day, it doesn't cover the things we most want captured.
• There are about 101 things only I know the detail of. Even with a coordinator, handing it all over is a lot, and I still feel like I'm forgetting something.
From reading threads on here, it seems we're not alone. The same things keep coming up: finding out late that something wasn't included, suppliers working from different timelines, and the couple ending up as the person everyone calls on the day.
I've been building a small tool to help us through this. If you're getting married in the next few months and want a hand going through your suppliers and timeline, I can do this properly for a handful of couples, for free. Just comment or message me.
Either way, I'd love to hear from you:
• If you're in your last 3 months: what problems are you running into right now?
• If you're already married: what came up in those last 3 months that you wish you'd caught earlier?
Big or small, I'd like to hear it. The small ones often end up mattering most on the day.
