Im so confused!

Hi guys!

So I'm a little confused about how many chair covers/table decorations to order. Do I need to order enough for the ceremony and wedding breakfast? OR do I need to order enough for the evening reception guests too?? I'm not sure why this has me so confused but it does lol!

    Your start position is enough for the wedding breakfast - this is usually the same number as also needed for your ceremony, then ---

    If you have 30 day (ceremony and breakfast guests ) and 100 evening guests AND you want chair covers to feature in the evening then yes you will need more than the 30 you had for the day. But you will not need 100 covers if you are having 100 eve guests as there are usually other rooms or places to be found to sit in a venue and the venue may not have 100 chairs anyway.

    Most of the time I see that the ceremony and breakfast covered chairs then get moved - if the eve is in a separate room or they just get used in the breakfast room which is usually reconfigured for the eve by moving the tables to one end and so leaving space for a dance floor. So after the wedding breakfast no extra covered chairs are normally needed even though you may be having an extra 40 -50 people invited to the evening.

    Same go's for the table decorations.

    Thank you so much! I'm not too fussed about all the chairs and tables being covered for the night as theres going to be far too many kids for things to get broken on the tables lol so thats perfect!

    In a non Church venue 99.9% of couples have the same number of guests for the ceremony as they do for the breakfast so the chair cover numbers will be the same for both.

    You should be able to move the ceremony chairs through to the wedding breakfast; saving you doubling up Smiley winking. Then in the evening you typically just use the chairs from the day Smiley smile. I worked at venues for a long time and this was most common practice; but what you want to do, that’s the right call Smiley smile. Hope this helps & congratulations. xx
