Imodium and Motilium together?

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they're the same thing - they are certainly both drugs that have the same type of action, so I don't think so (not a medic though).

I think they're ok together. (imodium is an anti motility and motilium an anti emetic) I've not got access to the bnf here though so can't be 100%. Does it not say in the leaflet?

Stupidly I have carried the tablets around the house without the leaflet. I will try and unearth it

I've had a quick look at the BNF and there are no interactions listed so should be fine.

But be aware that Motilium (domperidone) works to stop you being sick by speeding up your tummy emptying and things going through your small intestine so therefore can sometimes cause diarrhoea. Also as Domperidone is a motility stimulant not sure how this would would work when taking something which also slows down your gastric system like an anti-motility drug?

They both sort of do the opposite thing so maybe they would counteract each other IYSWIM?

Ah, ok, thanks, it doesn't really make sense to take them together then. I was feeling so queasy and have been sick so the pharmacist recommended Motilium and I took one before I realised if I get stomach cramps and diaorrhea I am going to want the imodium. Bleurgh.
