I am experiencing this too. Now I don't know how to send evening invites out as I don't want my evening guests turning up at the ceremony. It is currently showing them that they are invited and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that.

For anyone else coming back, I've figured out a fix. Once you've uploaded the spreadsheet into the correct event, click on the ceremony tab. You can then select the tickbox to the left of the names of the people who shouldn't be there, and click remove on the menu. You are then given the option to exclude them from just this event or delete them. A long way around of doing it, but it is still quicker than uploading guests individually.
