Individual or group invite to your work office?

I wonder if you could give me some advice with regard to inviting work colleagues. There are 18 people in my office. Would you recommend individual invites or just send to the office for everyone? I would prefer not to invite their partners - is this something you can get away do you think or is it...

I wonder if you could give me some advice with regard to inviting work colleagues. There are 18 people in my office. Would you recommend individual invites or just send to the office for everyone? I would prefer not to invite their partners - is this something you can get away do you think or is it rude? There are two bosses - one I would rather not have to my wedding and one which comes out with us on work nights out etc but I can't invite one without the other. Any advice?

Thanks in advance x

I've no idea what the thought process behind it is. When I was at school (a looooong time ago) it was pretty unusual for anyone to stay on past their highers if they got the grades they needed to get into Uni. The ones that did (and out of my school year I'd say there was maybe 20 out of 120 pupils?) either needed Sixth year studies to get into English universities or needed to re-sit their highers. Scotland doesn't have a reception year like England does, you're straight into Primary one so everything happens a year earlier in education. It's how it's always been... well at least for the past 30 something years anyway. No one says it's better, that's just how it is.

I work for an airline at a small airport and there's around 65 crew. I'd love to invite everyone but there's just too many, plus I have accommodation for 60 guests, I don't want them stealing it all!! To them it would just be one big piss up, none of them know my OH.

My 5 friends from work who i socialise with and who Nick knows well too are being invited to both day and night.

I may change my mind and send out a big invite for the evening, at least it will be a big party atmosphere at night. I just cannot do a specialised pick of 20 or so.... that would go down badly (and has done in the past!)

No, I think I still like the idea of an intimate reception where me and nick know everyone.... it will still be a party with our mates around!!
