My partner has a manual labour job, which metal would be best for him as he will need it to be very strong.

I have read reviews that Titanium or Pladdium would be best but can you advise?

    Thanks!

That's great, thank you. I really like the A36293, do you have this in your Blue water shop? We are thinking of taking a trip out!

    Hi Morainelake,

Yes we would recommend Titanium or Palladium, both are very hardwearing. Titanium cannot be re-sized however, but Palladium can.

    Hi,

I was wondering whether you offered engraving? I like the look of - A31865 but wasn't sure if it could be engraved because of the diamonds around it?

Hi hannahgosney, thank you for your question,

Yes we do engraving, if you had this band in either half set or 1/3 set then we would be able to engrave some of the inside. We just cannot engrave inside a full eternity ring, as you say because of the diamonds.

How much does the engraving cost and how do I go about requesting it as I can't see an option on the website.

    Hi hannahgosney,

Inside ring engraving is £25, it is not available on all rings to add as an option online so please feel free to make your order and then reply to the Order Confirmation email you will receive with the details of your engraving request. We can then add this to your order manually and then send you the link to your Order Tracking page where you will be able to pay the extra £25 on your balance.

If you would like to see the different engraving options please use the following link:

    http://www.albarose.com/product/Wedding-Rings_5/Traditional-Bands_23/Wedding-Band-Flat-Comfort_8000

And then select the pink 'Add Engraving' button on the right hand side, next to the drop down menu for engraving style click on the pink '?' and it will bring up all the different options.

Please let me know if you have any further questions at all.

I have a white gold engagement ring but would like to consider a platinum wedding ring to avoid having to re-plate etc. Is this something you would recommend or would they not look right together?

    Thanks!

    Hi katie85432!

You can wear a platinum wedding ring with your white gold engagement ring however we would always recommend matching the metal so that they look the same, and also so they do not wear against each other, as platinum is more hard-wearing than gold.

    Hi,

I'm not sure if I would be best with a plain band or a mobius twist to fit around my engagement ring. If I send my ring to you, can you create 2 different 3D models for me to choose from, or would I be restricted to just one design?

    Thanks

    Hi Katie 93,

You can request the two different designs on your form when you send your ring to us, we can then send you both CAD designs over email and those emails will include images of how the two rings fit and look together so you can decide which one you prefer.

I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have any further questions at all.

    Hi Ryan

Can I trouble you for a little ring repair advice? My ER is 18mths old, (diamond solitare, 18c white gold, 4 claw setting) purchased from a high street store. It went back to the shop just before the wedding to get resized a few size smaller, I didn't wear it until our wedding day in July and whilst on honeymoon the diamond became loose and started twirling around in the setting. Took it back to the shop and they told me that it just needed the claws re dipping which I thought was a little odd because I was told that they'd re dip it after resizing it. Anyway, for it back at the end of Aug and today I find that the diamond is moving again! I had no problems with it before it got resized - could this have caused the setting any damage? I will take it back to the shop again on thurs as it will be covered under the work guarantee last time but it was wondering if they is anything I should be asking them to do in particular or asking about how they do things? Last time I went they offered me a brand new ring straight up which I was quite shocked by because it was quite expensive. I don't want a new ring but realise there may come a time when I might need to get the diamond set into a new ring design if this becomes a re-occurring problem. I'm just really not sure what to do and really worried at the same time that one day I might actually lose the diamond. Can you offer any guidance at all?

    Thanks

    Hi HAG13,

Sorry to hear of the trouble you have been having with your engagement ring. It sounds like the setting has been affected when it has been sized, which means the diamond in not sitting properly in the setting. They should not have re-clawed the ring, as its only 18 months, the claws should have been fine, they just would have needed tightening.

Having continual work on the ring can start to affect the structural integrity of it, and will mean you may have continued problems with it. I would recommend taking their offer of re-making the metal part, so that the same diamonds are used, but the metal part is made to your size. This way you should have no further issues with the ring, as long as the design is sound.

Feel free to post a side-on image if you would like further feedback from us, or email it to ****@********.***

    Hello,

the packaging kit arrived just before Christmas to send in my ER to be scanned. I'm Still super nervous about sending something so valuable (emotions and ££) in the post, so want to be certain that it really will be processed and back home with me as soon as possible.

When is the best time to send - when is the 3D scanning department back up and running after their Christmas relaxation?

    many thanks

    Hi there Studying&Planning,

    Thank you for your message,

Our workshop is closed now up until 2nd Jan so please don't send until then. If you are still feeling nervous you could always enquire at the Post Office about added insurance, that may help ease your mind a bit more. But we will text you as soon as it arrives with us the day after you send by Special delivery so you know it has got to us safely, and we will email you with the return tracking number that same afternoon so you can keep an eye on the delivery back to you the next morning.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with in the meantime, and we hope to speak to you in the new year :-)
