Invitations

Hello all Smiley smile

I am finalizing my wedding planning spreadsheet and wondered when I should send out actual invitations for a June 2023 Saturday wedding? I am making them myself so just want to leave myself enough time. I see some websites say a few months and others are like 6 weeks? I was thinking maybe mid Feb with an RSVP date of mid April.

That sounds about right. We did save the dates a year in advance and then mid March, with an RSVP a month later for a July wedding.

We've been having the same debate! Something worth factoring in is whether your venue is a 'destination' for your guests in terms of whether they will need to be booking time off and/or somewhere to stay. If this is the case for a good proportion then the earlier the better as (a) it prompts people to actually book this and (b) it gives you the opportunity to invite others if you have any declines with enough time for them to actually arrange somewhere to stay.

Our wedding is July 2023 and we're erring towards January invites with RSPV deadline April/May if that helps!
