Invitations

Bethan, 25 February, 2026 at 14:14 Posted on Etiquette and Advice 0 1

My guest list is currently very small and restricted to people that my partner and I both love, and want to have with us on our special day. However, family are putting pressure on us to invite extended family members who are not close, nor do they have any importance in our lives.

People who have been in this situation, I am looking for advice on if it is worth standing my ground and keeping it intentional, or if I should let it go for the sake of peace?

Thanks in advance!

It really comes down to what matters most to you and your partner—your wedding should reflect your shared values and the people you truly want around you. Standing your ground keeps the day intentional and meaningful, while Concora Card com giving in may ease family tension but could dilute the experience. If peace is important, consider small compromises, but don’t lose sight of the fact that this is your celebration.
