Invites

Hey everyone!

Can anyone advise how to word the invitation where you are inviting someone who doesn't have a partner but you are giving them a plus one? We would obviously need to know if they are attending solo or if bringing a plus one the persons name for the place name on the table but how do you word this in the invite?

I would put the name and plus 1 guest. When they RSVP they will give you the name if bringing someone, if they don't I would double check just to be sure

Me again! I was thinking you could write something like:

If you intend on bringing a plus one as per the invite please confirm the name of your plus one on your RSVP. If you are not bringing a plus one please confirm this on your RSVP.

I’ve found when I’ve sent invitations to just one person they have assumed they can bring someone. This caused me no end of stress as the venue didn’t have enough space for everyone to bring plus ones and families. I’ve found it’s worked out in the end luckily as not everyone invited could attend.
