Is anyone NOT having a disco or band?

annie2000, 28 of November of 2011 at 18:04 Posted on Planning 0 5

We are thinking that a disco or band with just 30 guests will be a bit much, trying to find ideas of alternative evening entertainment alongside background music. Has anyone else not had disco or band? what did you do instead to entertain your guests? I am thinking of hiring in a casino setup, as i have always wanted to go to one. What do you think of that idea? any other suggestions? We are looking to have a venue that would give us exclusive use.

We are hoping to hire a casino. My family love them so I know it will be well used.

My friend only had 36 guests at her wedding last year and her OH put together a playlist of songs we all used to dance to on his Ipod. We danced all night and it was great listening to music that meant so much to us. I was worried to begin with being a small wedding and that it would finish early but it was fantastic and we stopped dancing about 1am!!

We're having a juke box and a photo booth to keep our guests entertained.

    Hi!

We got married on the 9th of Nov (sorry, still smug!) and had 2 casino tables and a caricaturist instead of a disco. Although we did have music playing throughout. All of our guests loved it!!!! The casino went down a storm! We had personalised money and a bottle of Champagne for the winner. All the pictures that the caricaturist did were also personalised with our names so people could take an individual keepsake home with them and have fun in the process!

Without doubt it was the best decision we made!

Good luck with your planning! xxx
