Is ecru like ivory?

Hi everyone, i got my bridesmaids ivory dresses and was looking to get them a little cardigan in case they get cold. I've seen some really nice ones on the internet but it say's ecru, would this match or look silly? Thanks for you advice x

    Hi there,

    I actually make wedding veils and accessories and so I can confirm that ecru is not really an ivory shade but its more like a champagne colour. Some ecru shades can be fairly dark too, almost gold-like so you just might find this colour a little too dark for your ivory dresses.
