Is it worth waiting to book a venue to secure lower price

Simoné, 7 January, 2026 at 18:30 Posted on Planning 0 2
Hello, we are set to marry in November 2027 but have seen if we book for 2026 the wedding venue we like would be 3k cheaper because it’s on “offer”.
Is it worth us waiting until the end of this year in hopes they do the same for 2027 weddings?

It depends on how picky you are about other aspects of your wedding - and also, how set you are on a particular date - or even on this venue. It would be difficult to book other suppliers until you have a confirmed venue and date, and you can't guarantee having your preferred venue on your preferred date until you've actually booked it. You could wait until the end of this year only to find that the dates you want in 2027 have already been taken. Or you could get the date that you want at a lower price, only to find that the photographer/florist etc that you really want are not available on that date.

If you are able to be flexible on dates, are getting married out of season and aren't too fussed about having specific vendors, then it's probably worth waiting. But otherwise, I'd either pay the higher rate or look for another venue that was already less costly.
