Hi All!
My first post-eek!
We got engaged a month ago and have 95% decided to take the plunge and plan to get married in Italy which is a complete dream of mine. I work in events myself so understand the immeasurable value a local planner will be.
Any recommendations for planners working in the Positano/Amalfi coast/Sorento area?Any recommendations or tips for weddings in these areas?

    Are you aware of how difficult it is to get legally married in Italy? Many people find they need to do a legal ceremony at home and then a symbolic ceremony in Italy, unless one you is Italian?

    Congratulations, I am also getting married in Italy (Rome) in September 2024!! So excited.
    Quotes I got from wedding planners were aprox £3500, however as we are planning a. Very small intimate wedding with a small budget I have decided not to go for one and I am lucky the venue we have chosen has an event coordinator who is hapoy to recommend vendors etc.

    In regards to getting legally married we have been told by wedding planners that it there is a lot of red tape to get legally married in Italy (you have to inform the embassy) so they have recommended we get legally married first in the UK, which we are planning to do. And plus means double the celebrations haha!
    I would recommend you have a look online of a few venues and fly out to visit them. Also bare in mind I found that a lot of venues only look a year ahead for bookings.

    I am also planning to get married in Rome in September 2024! Only just engaged so just starting out! Any tips on venues for small wedding (approx 50)?
