Jimmy Choo Shoes

kelly17687, 23 May, 2015 at 13:33 Posted on Planning 0 21

Hello,

I'm hoping to get a pair of Jimmy Choos to wear to our Wedding, I've started putting money away for them separately from our Wedding account so I don't feel as guilty spending all that money on shoes!

What I was wondering is does anyone know if their sizes are 'normal' if you know what I mean? I am normally a 4 but a 3 in Dorothy Perkins for some reason so I just wanted to check if anyone found there sizing big/small etc. I googled stockists near me so I could go and try on but there doesn't seem to be any.

Thanks xxx

Hi. I have some Jimmy's for the wedding and I LOVE them! I'm a 5 and wearing a 5. I ordered mine when they had a free delivery offer and it's free returns x

I'm a 6 and wore a size 5. However, mine were strappy and I have teeny ankles, getting the size smaller meant I didn't have to make botched extra holes in the straps. I did try on court shoes too in a 6, so I'd say they're very true to size.

I got mine from Bicester Village, if you're anywhere near there then GO! Mine are still on sale full price on the JC website for about £500, I paid £150.

Their sizing is definitely true to size - I have two pairs.Every single pair of shoes I've bought from Dorothy Perkins have fit differently so don't use them as a size guide Smiley smile

Definitely make the trip to Bicester Village!

    Great, thanks ladies!

I'm near Edinburgh so nowhere close to Bicester Smiley sad The ones I want are the made to order ones where you can personalise the soles so they'd be non returnable, that's why I just wanted to check about the sizes

Ooh nice. I was desperate to do this but by the time JC got it up and running and with a 12 week lead time, it would have been too late for my wedding. Instead I just bought Ivory with a view to dying them.

Im still going to personalise a pair of Langs for myself as a treat!

Hi, I'm a size 4 and I was advised to order a 3 and half because apparently they would stretch. I tried them on and they felt snug but was again reassured they would stretch to fit. I walked around in them quite a bit beforehand but they were still quite 'snug'. Actually wished I'd stuck to my usual 4s. To be fair they didn't hurt all day, and they didn't rub because of movement either

I've just ordered my made to order jimmy choos! I'm ridiculously excited but it's going to take 12-14 weeks to get them.

I ordered a pair to try for size and honestly I found them quite small. They are ivette so strappy but they were tight in a size 6 (my normal size) and I have skinny feet and ankles so I was really surprised. If you're going made to order I would try a pair in the style you want before you go to made to order as those can't be returned!

That's a good idea, think I will do that. The ones I want are 'Agnes' style. I'm not good with straps etc I kind of need plain court shoe type ones. So excited that you can now put dates on the soles

Party pooper here but are you sure you need the, personalising you might find a bargain on the Internet or in the shops instead also won't it limit the re wear which is sad for beautiful shoes?

Hi I have jimmy choo Abel which is the heel size up from Agnes. I wanted the Agnes as heel was comfier but I couldn't find them in my size. I'm a 41. And these fit perfectly. However my sister who is a 3 tried some on with the view to order and she found them too big and would have had to order a size 2. Depends what material you are going with too. I got suede I was going to use the personalised service but found the red more burgundy than red so it wasn't the colour I wanted.

I would say just order some and try them on. Flannels do free delivery which is where I got mine from. They had quite a good reduction on them. You have to pay for returns but only because they ask you to send them recorded which is understandable.

Not sure where u are in Scotland but you could always go to Harvey Nichols.

To add I find the sizing quite similar to topshop pointed courts

On the contrary, Lala. I think personalising means you'd get more wear out of them. You can choose style, heel height, material, colour etc, therefore you can make a pair of shoes you want to, and can wear again and again, as opposed to a pair of Ivory satin pumps never to see the light of day again. (This may just be me justifying my purchase!)

And I think it's sweet you can add initials or a date to the bottom of the shoe.

Personalising things like the heel etc I can understand I just can't imagine wanting to wear heels with my wedding date etc on after maybe it's the lack of romantic in me lol

It's optional, it's not emblazoned & really is rather subtle.

I'm a sucker for a pair of jimmy choos and I would say go with your normal size, I'm a size 3 and a 3 fits me fine. If you're anywhere near a selfridges they usually stock them in there xxx

Many thanks to the OP and posters on this thread. I had no idea that you could customize your own Jimmy Choo's so I am definitely considering this now after having read the posts. Looking at Lila in ivory satin - current favourite!

Gorgeous! Give us a flash if you get them. People on here when I posted suggested ordering a pair in the size/style without personalisation to try on and send back. That's what I'm going to do before I order xxx

That's a really good idea! I'm planning a day out in London wedding shopping in the summer anyway so going to head to Bond St I think, but if I don't get there I will definitely do that thank you! X

I find the sizing to be quite accurate. I am a 6 and always order a 6 and have never had any problems. A few times they have been more snug than normal but It just gives me an excuse to wear them round the house before stepping outside in them! More wear, better value for money and not so guilty about buying another pair!!
