I bought my wedding dress from them, sign up to their email they always offer %off codes. I was a little unsure too because they were a lot cheaper than what I had seen and so much variety. Shipping cost me £21 (they ship from China) but have a location in the uk. Great customer service so if you aren’t happy with anything they’ll sort. I say go for it - if you need to return anything you pay for your return (you return to their uk location so won’t cost you more than a few pounds). If anything is custom made they don’t accept returns - unless there’s a fault. Hope you get what you’re looking for!!

I was planning on buying bridesmaids dresses there, however found it isn't worth it as delivery and shipping fees were extortionate so I figured I may as well just pay more for a dress that they can actually try on etc in store. Also if the dress you order from jjshouse doesn't fit you have to pay shipping fees to send it back and they do not refund shipping fees.

Have a look on trust pilot for reviews, some sites only post their good ones!

Did youhave to pay custom duties / import taxes when purchasing from JJ's House? I bought some dresses from them nearly 10 years ago, and I had to pay the duties / taxes then. But unsure if that's now changed

This thread is from last March actually but I have since ordered one junior bridesmaid dress so we could see the sizing and quality. We were really impressed with the quality but the standard age 12 was too big for both my 11 year old and my 14 year old! There didn't seem to be any customs fees outlines on the site but this could be bundled into the shipping fees as that was £18 for a £60 order so it is a bit steep and they add VAT on afterwards as well.

However I will still probably order from them as they have the right colour and as I have 4 junior BMs and one adult MOH, I am going to match the shade of blue for all of them.

I was really pleased with the choice on JJ's House as Wed2be did not have much for younger maids and the dresses still cost £80 each regardless of size.

I have returned the JJ's dress which cost £56 exc VAT and I got £59.20 back, not really sure how that worked but at least it was painless and I got the money back! Next time I will order all of them at once so will take the shipping cost in one hit.

I'm still considering if I want the hassle of ordering from JJ's house or not. I might investigate a bit more. Usually custom duties is charged by Royal Mail, so I'm surprised your order did not trigger the custom duties. They have so much more variety than Wed2be, and their delivery times are quicker.

When I added items to my basket, it showed shipping and VAT split out but that was it no mention of customs at that point. When you return items they go to a Birmingham address so not sent all the way back to China - well not by me! Maybe they bulk ship returns back at some point or maybe they send some returns back out from the uk. I am not sure how their business model works but for me the choice and the ability to match one adult BM dress to 4 juniors is the key. I wouldn’t be able to get all the dresses in the same shade otherwise. Once I started research I couldn’t believe how many shades of pale blue there are 🤷🏼‍♀️

I ordered one junior BM dress at the beginning of Jan as we wanted to see the quality, sizing and colour. The wedding is not until July though. We have sent this dress back and will aim to order all the dresses at the same time in May I think. We ordered standard size (an age 12) but as they came up big I will pay more attention to the actual measurements they display against the ages in future (it is all on the website if you look). I know you can do custom sizes but you cannot return these so I would probably go standard again. We were really pleased with the quality and material and the colour was lovely plus so much choice!
